1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Lingo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Lingo.

2. Description of Service

Lingo is a WhatsApp-based translation bot that helps users communicate across language barriers. The service includes auto-translation in groups, DM forwarding, and two-way live conversation translation.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use Lingo to:

• Translate or distribute illegal, harmful, or abusive content
• Spam or harass other users via the two-way feature
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the service
• Use automated scripts to abuse the translation API
• Violate WhatsApp's own Terms of Service

4. Free Plan Limitations

The free plan is limited to 50 translations per day and 1 WhatsApp group. We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time with reasonable notice.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically
• All payments are processed by Paystack (NGN) or Stripe (USD)
• Refunds are available within 7 days of payment if the service has not been used substantially
• To cancel, email official lingo before the next billing date

6. Service Availability

We aim for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for downtime caused by Meta's WhatsApp API, Google Translate, or factors outside our control.

7. Accuracy of Translations

Translations are provided by Google Translate and may not be perfect. Lingo is not liable for errors in translation or decisions made based on translated content. For critical communications, please verify with a professional translator.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent payment activity.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lingo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
